I think emojis are not a regression, because they help to convey the emotional color of the message or simply express the emotions of a person on the Internet.
It isn't progress or regress because emoji just help to understand of emotions of your partner in messages, and big part of internet users use it just for fun
I think that while use of emojis can be treated as progress, as it makes short communication both simpler and more descriptive, and also as regress, as it may destroy any hint of seriousness in a conversation or be overused to a ridiculous extent, it doesn't have that much effect overall.
Я считаю что использование имоджи это прогресс, так как имоджи может лучше показать эмоцию. Когда человек пишет текст без каких либо символов ( имоджи), собеседник может не так понять смс.

Я считаю, что это отчасти прогресс, потому что эмоджи позволяют лучше понять отношение и чувства собеседника.. может быть это и ничего не значит и человек шутки ради выбрал тот или эмоджи, но я придерживаюсь осознанного выбора эмоджи)
